Campers receive the instruction of basic basketball fundamentals. The camp is coordinated by Shakopee Girls Basketball Varsity Coach Juan Mitchell. The focus of the camp will be ball handling, dribbling, shooting, rebounding, and offensive & defensive techniques. Camp sessions include individual, small group, and a variety of contests/games to provide skill improvements.

Camp Topics : The essential drills and instruction to build a foundation of how to play the game of basketball.

• Improve your ball handling skills

• Partner passing drills to learn the proper chest pass, bounce pass, flick air pass, etc.

• Learn the proper shooting mechanics, release to finish while shooting close to the rim

• Have fun while playing dribble tag, sharks and minnows, and more fun games

• You will learn and improve your dribbling, passing, shooting form, lay-up form, and agility to take your game to the next level
